How to Unpack and Ready your Hoop for Use

Congratulations on your new hoop!

We’re so excited to get you started, and we want to make sure your hoop is ready to flow perfectly from the moment you open the box.

Before you begin, please remove any ties or fasteners keeping the hoop coiled. Use scissors or a razor blade carefully to avoid scratching the tubing.

Thank you for choosing Canyon Hoops — we truly appreciate your trust in us. You’ve received one of our two hoop styles, and each one is packaged a little differently. Below, you’ll find simple step-by-step instructions for unpacking your specific hoop.

Hoop Coiled Into Itself

Step 1) Remove all plastic wrap and tape holding hoop together.

Step 2) Put the hoop on the floor and VERY GENTLY push down on the hoop at the connection point to release some pressure.

Step 3) Pull hoop apart. Careful, your hoop is under tension and an end may go flying out at you!

Step 4) Once your hoop has had a chance to naturally unwind itself, go ahead and insert the small end into the big and until you hear the snap button go “click”.

Step 5) Go Hoop!

Hoop is NOT Coiled Into Itself

The steps are pretty much identical to the ones above, expect that your hoop is not connected into itself and there is a bit more packing wrap to undo.

Step 1) Remove all plastic wrap and tape holding hoop together.

Step 2) Allow the hoop to sit for a minimum of 12 hours, more might be better.

Step 3) Once your hoop has had a chance to naturally unwind itself, go ahead and insert the small end into the big and until you hear the snap button go “click”.

Step 4) Go Hoop!

How to Coil Down Your Hoop for Travel

You can coil down your hoop by using something to push the button down into the tubing allowing you to pull the two ends apart.

We recommend you store the hoop connected (as a full circle) to maintain its circular shape. Try not to hoop on gravel or other rough surfaces which can tear and scuff up the tapes. Use soap and water to clean your hoop.

Do not leave your hoop in extreme temperatures. Extreme heat (such as a car in the summer) can cause the hoop to warp and make the adhesives to leak, causing the hoop to feel sticky. Extreme cold temperatures also make the hoop susceptible to damage.
